It Has Been A Lot!

Wow, where should I start? So my comeback to dance class after a month break (sebulan aje dibahas...gimana lebih? Udah jadi buku keleus :D) had been a wild ride. Right away rehearsal for a performance and coordinating an event at the same time. Berto gave me this job from IDF, where I worked as P.I.C for Dance Writing Workshop. My girl IKAN said why am I taking the job if I am so busy? The answer is clear: I need to pay college. Ikan said she can just lend me money and I can focus on my thesis. God, bless this human that is my best friend. That's very kind and thoughtful of her. Anyway, I took the job so I was running 2 events at the same time. One in Cikini, Central Jakarta and one in SOM, South Tangerang. I became an adept Commuter Line user. I no longer mistaken peron 1 with peron 2 and silly things like that, like not knowing which gate I should enter after scanning my card to enter the peron. Duh. Duh 100x.

I wasn't particularly on diet but I really didn't want to eat as much as I usually do. Especially the IDF job that made me lose my appetite. It was said before that I will work togerher with Berto and Mas Adi. Ended up I worked alone. Classic tale of team work. (Put a smile here). It wasn't that much to do actually, but the IDF directors breathe out anxiety and made people terrorize me (and other crews, for sure). I also haven't told you that I've got private English student in Plaza Senayan (thanks to Tante Nita omanya Altair), so my route was like IKJ (IDF secretariat) - Senayan - Emerald Bintaro - Sektor 9 - STF. I never lost wonder of Jakarta. The feeling of an uptown girl never leaves me and I always feel like a brand new comer to Jakarta. The experience of commuting, seeing the long road of Sudirman with skyscrapers at the right and left. WOW.  It has been more than 10 years I live here, but still, WOW.

The dance rehearsals also made me happy. Exhausted-- don't ask. The one and only Mr.Davit would gladly ask you to do it 5 more times to your last drop of blood he would not care -- so don't ask about exhaustion. It also speed up my weight loss so it's a blessing in disguise. Yay!

Heidy couldn't join this time because she was burnt out -- probably as she just finished a residency with Candodance 2. Savi joined but after 1 or 2 rehearsals she caught chicken pox. So I was dancing with Bella, the national gymnastic athlete (if that wasn't intimidating enough) and Diijee my antique gurl hahaha it was a bit stressful 'coz they can't count but they are fun. So fun, really. I was stressed at the beginning because they don't count and they persisted that counting is not important and I secretly believed so, but without counting it's hard to be at the same movement. But dancing with them I can feel that there is no competition, it's pure joy of dancing; so despite all the troubles, I did feel happy. We also danced with the teens: Vanessa, Icha, and Abby. Not mentioning goofing around and joking all the time with Rizka. Learning new tricks and great costume doubled up the joy. So the dance writing workshop ended at Nov 10 and Nov 11 I performed this piece. So during 6-10 every morning at 9 I was already in the commuter line, making sure the workshop works alright, I also went to some show venues like Salihara and TIM while maintaining to go to SOM to practice. I was certainly losing fat, I was happy about that. And this with very little effort. I automatically didn't want to eat (I have to admit the IDF job was stressful) and I move a lot (those station stairs...thank them). On November 10 it was the closing and peak event of IDFand I managed to escape for a while to do LAST REHEARSAL at Galeri Cipta III, TIM. And then I headed to Salihara to join the closing ceremony.

Working in the Dance Writing Workshop had been more bearable because I hired my cousin Tassja as the runner. Even though she didn't work that fast but she gave me that 100% trustworthy and sister-love feeling. Both Geminians, we can talk about anything and laugh at our own jokes :D

What is happiness? It sounds like a snack.

I would, like usually, open this post by saying "Things are crazy". Yes, I don't know are things really crazy or is it just me. I think it's the latter. Life appears as surprises to me. And I act like a door, opening this tunnel, closing another one. I don't feel dull, and I can't say my days have been dull for they are full with challenges. But I have been so alone. This also sounds weird. Since when that I'm not alone? I always pull myself back from any social event. I hang out alone. I guess the last time I had a good time outside the house/office/campus with another human being was the last Saturday in January, so it's a month ago. It is true that if I just ask, I will get people willing to go with me. But I am the pickiest picky pick ever because most of the times when I don't pick, I get bored with dull conversations, or a view of someone watching his/her phone like there's nothing else to see. So all this time I hang out alone. Mos...
